What is an alternate drive?
When you set up an alert you tell us what custom drive you want us to monitor.
This drive is usually the main one that you take. However, many people have a couple of other ways that they CAN go if their main route is backed up. You can set these up as custom drives too and select them as alternate drives when you set up your alert.
When you set up alternates you’ll get summary information on the main drive and the alternates in your e-mail alerts, and you’ll be able to ask for alternates in your voice alerts.
Either way you’ll have an easy and quick way to tell which of your drives is best right now.
